Leaders and activists have reacted angrily to the presence of the Juba League President in all BNP programs in Juri, Moulvibazar district. There are allegations that the Juba League President has been working as a source for the Awami League after August 5.

Angry BNP leaders and activists alleged that CNG driver Md. Masum Ahmed, a resident of Bhawanipur Anjuri Kona in Jaifornagar Union of Juri Upazila, had been the family driver of Juri Upazila Awami League Joint General Secretary and former Upazila Vice Chairman Rinku Ranjan Das for a long time. Due to this, CNG driver Md. Masum Ahmed shared the post of ward Juba League president with Rinku Ranjan Das' blessings. Since becoming the Juba League president, he has not had to look back. Using the influence of the Awami League, he got involved in various irregularities and misdeeds, starting from extortion. Masum took all kinds of facilities from the Awami League government, including a house, from Sheikh Hasina's shelter project. Recently, CNG driver Jubo League leader Masum has been extorting money in various places in the upazila by introducing himself as a journalist. Meanwhile, he was a victim of mob lynching while extorting money at an expatriate's house in Samai Bazar. In addition to publishing news about this in various media outlets including the national daily Prothom Alo, the video of the mob lynching went viral on social media.

The angry leaders and activists also said that CNG driver Jubo League leader Masum was directly involved in the attacks on students by Chhatra League, Jubo League and Awami League during the anti-discrimination student movement. But what is surprising is that even though the leaders and activists of Chhatra League, Jubo League and Awami League who were involved in the attacks on students since August 5 have fled, due to some invisible force, Jubo League President CNG driver Masum is present in all BNP programs! There is a storm of criticism among BNP leaders and activists on the issue. Many people have made serious allegations against Masum and said that he is sharing the entire information of Juri Upazila including the Upazila administration, police administration, BNP Jamaat, to various online groups of Awami League.

When asked about this, Juri Upazila BNP convener Dr. Mostakim Hossain Babul said, "If any leader and activist of Jubo League comes to a BNP event at present, I strongly condemn and protest this matter. I hope that the party leaders and activists will keep this matter in mind in the future."

Officer-in-charge of Juri Police Station Md. Murshedul Alam Bhuiyan said, "How can a leader of Jubo League be with BNP and the administration? If we get correct information and evidence in this regard, we will take legal action."
