An attack and fire broke out on LDP member Belayet Hossain's house in Akhtar Mia's house in Musapur Union No. 7 of Companiganj Upazila.

According to eyewitness Jahangir Khan, 20-30 armed cadres of the Awami League attacked Belayet Hossain's house with weapons on June 14, during which they severely attacked LDP member Belayet Hossain's wife and seriously injured her. Taslima Akhter, the seriously injured Belayet Hossain's wife, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

According to local residents, armed cadres of the Awami League vandalized Belayet Hossain's house, took cash and gold ornaments and set the house on fire.
