The Bangladesh Sammilita Peshajibi Parishad (BSPP) has formed a reception committee to mark the historic homecoming of Mr. Tarique Rahman, the Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). This committee was unanimously approved during an extended meeting of the BSPP held on Monday, December 22. Engineer Md. Hanif has been appointed as the Convener of the newly formed reception committee, while Agriculturist Md. Mokhlesur Mohin Mishu will serve as the Member Secretary. Through this committee, decisions have been made to undertake extensive and disciplined programs to celebrate Tarique Rahman's return to the country. Regarding the preparations, the Convener of the committee, Engineer Md. Hanif, stated that Tarique Rahman is an inseparable part of the movement to restore democracy in Bangladesh, and his homecoming is a historic moment for the nation. He emphasized that the professional community is united and ready to welcome him, noting that all-out preparations have been made for a peaceful, orderly, and dignified reception on December 25. He further added that the role of professionals has always been crucial in the struggle to establish democracy, voting rights, and fundamental human rights in the country, and this commitment will continue in the future. BSPP leaders informed that necessary measures are being taken to ensure the success of the reception program, including initiatives to involve people from various classes and professions.
