According to the acceptance letter submitted to TCB, the consignment will be supplied in 2-liter PET bottles on a CFR (Cost and Freight) basis at Chattogram Port, in line with the terms and conditions stipulated in the NOA issued by TCB on 6 January 2026.
The total contract value of the import stands at USD 14,593,125, with a unit price of USD 1,075 per liter CFR Chattogram, as stated in the acceptance document. The supplier has confirmed full compliance with all contractual obligations, including quantity specifications, packing, marking, inspection, and delivery schedules.
As per TCB requirements, Prime Corp World Company Limited has also undertaken to submit a Performance Security equivalent to 5 percent of the total contract value within the stipulated timeframe. The company further confirmed that an Irrevocable Letter of Credit (LC) at sight will be opened in accordance with the conditions outlined in the NOA.
The acceptance letter also notes that Synergic-BACL JV, Dhaka, will act as the authorized local representative for the execution and coordination of the contract in Bangladesh, as mentioned in the original NOA.
TCB sources said the import is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities and stabilize the domestic edible oil market, particularly ahead of the upcoming Ramadan season.
Officials expressed optimism that timely completion of contractual formalities and shipment will contribute to maintaining price stability and uninterrupted supply in the local market.
