Allegations of Planned Attacks to Obstruct Bangladesh’s Global Supply Chain Transformation
A female entrepreneur and Founder & Managing Director of the international consulting firm ProKnoWara Consulting Firm has alleged that a series of coordinated incidents—including defamation, vandalism, online harassment and cyberattacks—have been deliberately carried out to obstruct the ongoing global transformation of Bangladesh’s garments and manufacturing sector and the modernization of international supply chains.
Speaking at a press briefing, the entrepreneur said that ProKnoWara Consulting Firm has long been operating with integrity while maintaining international standards. As part of its global activities, the firm signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a renowned Czech technology company, CYRCID.
According to information presented in support of the allegations, two individuals—A.K.M. Moinul Islam (Nobin) and Naafisa Afrin Chowdhury (Shefa)—allegedly contacted officials at CYRCID and provided false and misleading information about the entrepreneur and her firm. As a result, CYRCID reportedly informed the company via email on January 23, 2026, that it would cancel the previously signed MoU and would refrain from any future business engagement with the firm.
The entrepreneur further alleged that the accused deliberately circulated misleading information to ProKnoWara Consulting Firm’s international partners in an attempt to damage the company’s credibility and hinder Bangladesh’s ongoing global transformation initiatives in the garments and manufacturing sector.
The allegations also claim that the accused threatened ProKnoWara’s international training partner in India, KnoWerX Education, warning that if cooperation with ProKnoWara continued, formal complaints would be filed against the organization with the High Commission of India, the Indian Embassy and the Bangladesh High Commission in India.
In another allegation, the entrepreneur stated that a cyberattack was carried out on Orobo, a Singapore-based European Digital Product Passport (DPP) technology firm, allegedly in an attempt to disrupt ProKnoWara’s international technical collaboration and operational activities.
Currently, ProKnoWara Consulting Firm is involved in several innovative global initiatives, including Digital Product Passport (DPP), Circular Data Infrastructure and Sustainable Supply Chain Transformation. These initiatives aim to prepare Bangladesh’s garments and manufacturing industry for future global trade standards and compliance frameworks.
The entrepreneur also alleged that one of the company’s official promotional posters, which had been lawfully placed in a commercial area, was torn down by the accused. According to her statement, the incident was recorded on video and later circulated via WhatsApp to the firm and its international business partners in an attempt to harm the company’s international reputation.
She further claimed that as a female entrepreneur she personally faced obscene and disrespectful behavior. Her image and poster were allegedly defaced, offensive remarks were directed toward her and she was physically harassed.
Following the incident, personnel from Uttara West Police Station arrived at the scene. According to the entrepreneur, an attempt was made to physically assault her in front of the officers, while the accused allegedly threatened to continue tearing down the company’s posters.
In response to the incidents, a case has been filed at the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Dhaka, which is currently under judicial consideration.
During the press briefing, the entrepreneur said that spreading false information to international partners, threatening foreign partner institutions and conducting cyberattacks are extremely concerning for Bangladesh’s garments sector and its global transformation initiatives.
“We will not be stopped through intimidation, defamation or harassment,” she said. “We have full confidence in the law and through legal processes we will ensure justice while continuing our work to advance the global transformation of Bangladesh’s garments sector.”
