Bangladesh’s leading electrical and electronics brand Walton has introduced four new premium-category washing machine models featuring advanced technology, including AI-powered smart wash systems designed to offer a more efficient and convenient laundry experience for users.
The newly launched lineup includes two AI-enabled top-loading models; WWM-ATT80 (8kg) and WWM-ATT90 (9kg).
These machines can automatically detect fabric type and load weight, then select optimal wash settings for improved performance and ease of use.
The range also features front-loading stain wash models WWM-AFB80 (8kg) and WWM-AFB90 (9kg), along with an 8kg steam wash model WWM-AFD80 and a 12kg washer-dryer combo model WWM-AFC12M.
Among these, the WWM-AFD80 and WWM-AFC12M are equipped with inverter and direct-drive motors, ensuring energy efficiency, quieter operation, and long-lasting durability.
The products were officially unveiled at a programme held on Tuesday afternoon at Walton’s corporate office in Dhaka.
Walton Home and Kitchen Appliance Chief Business Officer (CBO) Abdullah Al-Zunaid and brand ambassador and National Film Award-winning actress Jaya Ahsan jointly launched the new models.
Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed and other senior officials were also present.
Speaking at the event, Zoheb Ahmed said the new range has been introduced in response to rising demand for smart home appliances and modern lifestyle needs, adding that the features will bring a new dimension to the local washing machine market.
Brand ambassador Jaya Ahsan said Walton continues to introduce advanced and affordable home appliances, highlighting the company’s focus on research and innovation.
She also noted that Walton products, including washing machines, are being exported to more than 55 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and America.
Abdullah Al-Zunaid said the new European-standard machines feature modern design, energy-efficient inverter and BLDC motors, and selected models with washer-dryer functionality for added convenience and time savings.
Walton officials also said the company operates a world-class washing machine manufacturing facility in Chandra, Gazipur, producing over 30 models of automatic, semi-automatic, front-load, and top-load machines, including commercial-grade units built to European energy standards.
The company added that its washing machines use multiple wash motions to ensure effective cleaning without damaging fabrics, along with touch-screen controls and stainless-steel components for durability and user convenience.
