Bangladesh and the European Union (EU) have held discussions aimed at expanding bilateral trade and investment, reiterating their shared commitment to deepening long-standing economic and political ties.
EU Ambassador to Bangladesh Michael Miller paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Wednesday (September 16).
During the meeting, Ambassador Miller extended warm congratulations to State Minister Kabir on assuming his new post. Both representatives expressed satisfaction with the durable partnership between Bangladesh and the EU, reaffirming their intent to scale up cooperation across bilateral, regional, and global domain.
State Minister Kabir expressed gratitude to the EU for regarding Bangladesh as a reliable partner, reiterating the country's commitment to multilateralism, democratic values, and a rules-based international order.
