The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved eight development projects involving an estimated cost of Tk 14,041.21 crore.
The approvals came at an ECNEC meeting chaired by Prime Minister and ECNEC Chairperson Tarique Rahman at secretariat.
The government will provide Tk 10,494.21 crore from its own resources, while Tk 3,550.44 crore will come as project assistance.
The approved package includes three new projects and five revised ones. Among the approved projects, three belong to the Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry.
