In an aggressive drive to curb the mosquito menace, the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has deployed 1,500 workers across various zones. As part of ongoing anti-larval operations and cleanliness campaigns, mobile courts and inspection teams active in the airport area fined individuals Tk 500 for finding Aedes mosquito breeding grounds or neglecting sanitation rules. City corporation officials warned residents and business owners to maintain clean surroundings, stressing that punitive measures will continue to protect public health and prevent vector-borne diseases.
