UAP Arranges Freshers’ Orientation for Spring-2026

University of Asia Pacific (UAP) organized a Freshers’ Orientation Program on 25 July 2026 for the newly enrolled students of the Spring-2026 semester.
Mr. Alamzeb Farjad Ahmed, Senior Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), UAP, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, Distinguished Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BRAC University, and Mr. Syed Ershad Ahmed, Deputy Chairman & Vice President, MAC Holdings (Private) Limited, attended the event as Special Guests.
Addressing the freshers, Mr. Alamzeb Farjad Ahmed welcomed them to the UAP family and encouraged them to pursue academic excellence with discipline, integrity, and confidence. He assured the students of the Trustee Board’s wholehearted support in ensuring a quality learning environment.
Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad thanked the students for choosing UAP as their destination for higher education. He encouraged them to remain curious, think critically, and make the best use of the opportunities and guidance available at the university.

Mr. Syed Ershad Ahmed said that the orientation marks the beginning of an important academic journey. He advised the freshers to make the best use of UAP’s academic resources and actively participate in co-curricular activities to develop leadership qualities, teamwork, and career-ready skills.

Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor, UAP, chaired the event. In his address, he congratulated the freshers on joining UAP and urged them to make the best use of the university’s academic resources while maintaining discipline, integrity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
UAP Registrar, Brig. Gen. (Retd.) Prof. Dr. A. K. M. Nazrul Islam and Prof. Dr. Aloke Kumar Saha, Proctor, shared the essential rules and regulations of the university with the freshers, while Mr. Mohammad Rakiv, Acting Director of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), introduced the students to the university’s clubs and their regular activities.
Prof. Dr. Sayeed M. Ahmed, Dean, School of Environmental Sciences and Design; Prof. Dr. M. A. Baqui Khalily, Dean, School of Business; and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean, School of Pharmacy, also addressed the orientation program.
The Heads of Departments, faculty members, administrative staffs, freshers, and their parents and guardians attended the event. At the end of the program, an interactive discussion session was held with the parents and guardians to learn about their expectations from the university and to strengthen collaboration in supporting students throughout their academic journey.
