Bangladesh to face England at Lord's in 2027
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has officially confirmed that Bangladesh will tour England for a one-off Test at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground, starting on May 28, 2027, marking the Tigers' first Test in England in more than 16 years.
The announcement follows earlier reports in the British media and forms part of the ECB's international home fixtures for 2027.
Bangladesh last toured England in 2010 for a two-Test series, with one of the matches played at Lord's. The upcoming fixture will mark the Tigers' return to the "Home of Cricket" after more than a decade and a half.
Although Bangladesh have not played a Test in England since 2010, England visited Bangladesh in 2016 for a two-match Test series. England won the opening Test in Chattogram before Bangladesh secured a memorable victory in Mirpur - their only Test win against England in 10 meetings.
The 2027 Lord's Test will come less than a year after Bangladesh's scheduled Test tour of Australia, where they are set to play their first Test in the country in 23 years.
The ECB also confirmed that the Bangladesh women's team will tour England in September 2027 for three One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals.
The T20I series will be played in Northampton (September 8), Taunton (September 10) and Worcester (September 12), while the ODI matches are scheduled for Hove (September 17), Canterbury (September 21) and Chelmsford (September 24).
