Discussion Meeting Held in Homna to Improve the Quality of Primary Education

A discussion meeting was held in Homna, Cumilla, aimed at enhancing the quality of primary education, improving the learning environment, and ensuring quality education for students.

Organized by the Upazila Primary Education Office, the discussion meeting took place on Saturday (September 5) afternoon at the Homna Shilpakala Academy auditorium.

Principal Selim Bhuiyan MP, Member of Parliament for the Cumilla-2 (Homna-Titas) constituency, attended the meeting as the chief guest.

Presided over by Upazila Primary Education Officer Farzana Shely and moderated by Upazila Assistant Education Officer Mahfuz Mia, the meeting featured speeches by Upazila BNP President Alhaj Md. Mohiuddin, General Secretary Mozammel Haque (VP Mukul), and leaders of various tiers.

Also present were Titas Upazila BNP President Osman Gani Bhuiyan, General Secretary Mehedi Hasan; Pourashava BNP President Sanaullah Sarkar, General Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam; former Upazila Parishad Chairman Advocate Azizur Rahman Molla; Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Shahjahan Molla Chairman; along with various party leaders, educators, and local dignitaries.

During the discussion, headteachers and assistant teachers from various primary schools across the upazila shared their insights and recommendations regarding the improvement of primary education, upgrading school learning environments, ensuring regular student attendance, and delivering quality education.

Among those who spoke and participated in the discussion were headteachers Dulal Mia, Mosleh Uddin, Khairunnesa, Rozina Akhter, and Abdul Aziz; and assistant teachers Md. Moniruzzaman, Abdul Kadir, Shakhawat Hossain, and Jamirul Islam, among others.
