Eastern Housing Cuts Dividend to 20% Following Decline in FY26 Net Profits
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) building in Motijheel, Dhaka, where Eastern Housing Limited disclosed its audited financial results and dividend declaration for FY26 on Tuesday.

Listed real estate developer Eastern Housing Limited has declared a 20 percent cash dividend for its shareholders for the 2025-26 fiscal year, down from 25 percent in the previous fiscal year, following a decline in annual earnings.

The dividend decision and audited financial summary for FY26 were disclosed through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) platform on Tuesday (October 6, 2026). According to the audited financial statements, Eastern Housing recorded an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of BDT 6.66 for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, marking a decrease of BDT 1.61 from BDT 8.27 reported in FY25. Despite the contraction in profitability, the company's Net Asset Value Per Share (NAVPS) strengthened to BDT 94.15 at the close of FY26, up from BDT 89.99 in the preceding fiscal period. To seek shareholder approval for the recommended cash dividend and annual financial accounts, the Board of Directors has convened the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) for December 22, 2026, setting October 29, 2026, as the record date for determining shareholder entitlement.
