Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC HQ in Dhaka, celebrating landmark capital market efficiency.

In a rare operational milestone for Bangladesh’s capital market, engineering sector leader Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has completed the disbursement of its approved cash dividend to shareholders within just one day of its Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The company’s 20th AGM was conducted digitally on Thursday (October 15, 2026) under the presence of institutional and general shareholders. During the meeting, shareholders unanimously approved the Board of Directors' recommendation of a 180% cash dividend (BDT 18 per BDT 10 face value share) and a 10% stock dividend (1 bonus share for every 10 ordinary shares) for the 2025–26 financial year. By the following working day, the approved cash dividend was directly transferred into the respective bank accounts of all eligible investors via BEFTN/electronic transfer.

Walton’s Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary, Md. Rafiqul Islam, FCS, noted that robust liquidity reserves, advanced digital infrastructure, and operational efficiency enabled this record turnaround time. According to audited financial reports, Walton Hi-Tech posted a net profit of BDT 1,124.57 crore for FY 2025–26—up from BDT 1,036.62 crore in the previous fiscal year. Earnings Per Share (EPS) rose to BDT 33.75 (up from BDT 31.11), while Net Asset Value (NAV) per share with revaluation reached BDT 381.26 (BDT 280.24 without revaluation), bringing total net assets to BDT 12,704 crore. The 10% stock dividend, sourced from retained earnings, will fund green energy expansion and plant modernization (BMRE).
