The Pabna Special Tribunal Judge Court has sentenced another Phensedyl trader named Lal Mohammad Lalu (27) to life rigorous imprisonment in a case involving the recovery of 30 bottles of Phensedyl, alongside a 10,000 taka fine and an additional two months of rigorous imprisonment in default. On Wednesday afternoon, October 7, 2026, Pabna Special Sessions Judge Abu Saleh Mohammad Salahuddin Khan delivered the verdict, which was confirmed by state prosecutor Advocate Rajiour Rahman Ranju.
The convict, Lal Mohammad Lalu, is the son of Munsad Ali from Harirampur village, Bagha Upazila, Rajshahi. According to case documents, DB police SI Asit Kumar Bosak filed the case at Pabna Sadar Police Station on July 7, 2018, following the seizure. After a prolonged trial, the court found the absent defendant guilty.
Advocate Shafiqul Islam represented the defense while Advocate Rajiour Rahman Ranju prosecuted for the state. This follows a similar verdict delivered last Monday, October 5, by the same judge sentencing Mizanur Rahman to life rigorous imprisonment for recovering 40 bottles of Phensedyl in Ishwardi, Pabna.
