
To raise public awareness and control the spread of dengue, the historic Balaka Club organized a cleanliness drive and leaflet distribution campaign in Pirojpur. On Friday (October 2), club members voluntarily cleaned various key areas across the town and distributed informational leaflets on dengue prevention to local residents.
During the event, Md. Sohrab Hossain, President of Balaka Club, highlighted the growing dengue outbreak in Pirojpur, emphasizing that every citizen must keep their surroundings clean and work collectively to build awareness. The club's General Secretary, Abul Hasan, assured that such cleanliness and educational initiatives by Balaka Club will continue.
Key community leaders were present during the drive, including Sergeant (retd.) Md. Habibur Rahman, President of Positive Pirojpur and member of Balaka Club, alongside other senior club officials.
