A tragic fire at the Tup-Tup Resort in Inani, Cox’s Bazar, has left Meherunnesa Mila (30) utterly devastated after she lost six family members in the inferno. Mila, a Premier Bank official and former Milestone School teacher, was visiting Cox’s Bazar on a family holiday with her husband Masud, three sisters, and their children and grandchildren. A video capturing Mila's tearful, heartbreaking plea—"Amar Saifke ainna dao" (Bring my Saif back to me)—went viral on social media, moving countless hearts across the country.

The child she desperately cried for was her grand-nephew, five-year-old Fayizan Ahmed, affectionately called "Saif," who was among the six family members who perished in the flames. According to Riaz Mahmud Ripon, uncle of victim Milita Mehejabin Alvi, the deceased include Fariha Kabir Sabrin and her son Fayizan Ahmed (daughter and grandson of Mila’s elder sister Kajol Rekha); Dhaka University student Nafis Tehami Jerif; Jagannath University students Laila Jahan Nabila and Israt Jahan Maliha (daughters of sister Roksana Akhter Rina); and East West University student Milita Mehejabin Alvi (daughter of sister Nurunnahar Khanam Swapna). While Mila and her husband survived the disaster, the unimaginable tragedy has left the family in deep mourning.
