Chandanaish Police Station personnel arrested three individuals, including two CR warrant accused and one mobile court convict, during a special overnight drive conducted in Chandanaish, Chittagong.
The operation was conducted between 10:00 PM on October 13 and 9:30 AM on October 14, 2026, under the direction of Chittagong District Superintendent of Police Md. Masud Alam, BPM, and led by Chandanaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) S. M. Didarul Islam Sikder.
The arrestees have been identified as Arman Beg of Purba Madarbari (accused in electricity act case CR-424/25), Shambhu Das of Madhya Harla (accused in NI Act case CR-374/25), and Md. Shahjahan (50) of Harla, Chandanaish Pourashava. Md. Shahjahan was previously sentenced to 15 days of non-rigorous imprisonment and fined BDT 200 under Section 36(5) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, by a mobile court conducted by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jhantu Bikash Chakma.
Confirming the development, OC S. M. Didarul Islam Sikder stated that all three arrestees have been sent to court under police escort, adding that special drives will continue to maintain law and order.
