Two Family Members Die Within One Hour in Kalapara
Relatives and neighbors gather at the home of Prabindu Biswas in Nawabganj village, Kalapara, mourning the sudden loss of two family members within an hour.

Two family members passed away within just one hour of each other at the same residence in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali. The tragic deaths occurred on Friday afternoon at the residence of Prabindu Biswas (Montu) in the well-known Nawabganj village of Nilganj union.

The deceased have been identified as Krishna Rani Biswas (70), wife of Prabindu Biswas, and Dr. Asit Baran Biswas (Khokon), his younger brother. Krishna Rani Biswas passed away due to a stroke at around 12:00 PM at her Nawabganj home, while Dr. Asit Baran Biswas breathed his last at 1:00 PM while undergoing treatment at PG Hospital (BSMMU) in Dhaka.

Losing two loved ones on the same day has left septuagenarian Prabindu Biswas overwhelmed with grief. The dual tragedy within an hour at the same household has sent shockwaves through the local community, leaving relatives and neighbors in deep mourning.

Family members stated that since a son of one of the deceased and a daughter of the other reside abroad, the exact timing of the final rites could not be confirmed immediately. However, relatives assured that the last rites for both individuals will take place at their ancestral home in Nawabganj once all family members arrive.

Krishna Rani Biswas leaves behind two sons and two daughters, while Dr. Asit Baran Biswas is survived by a son and a daughter.
