Aamir Khan's Niece Zayn Marie Displays Bruises Following Mumbai Police Detention

Bollywood actor Zayn Marie, niece of superstar Aamir Khan, posted a video on social media on Sunday (October 11, 2026) revealing physical bruises on her body following her detention by Mumbai Police during a political demonstration on Saturday.

Zayn was detained alongside her cousin, actor Imran Khan, and actor Lekha Washington while participating in a protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). The demonstration demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) voter list process. In her video, Zayn displayed dark bruise marks across her hands, fingers, and legs, delivering a poignant message: "Do not intimidate us so much that there is nothing left to fear." The actors alleged that they were held in a police van for over two hours without being informed of the official grounds for detention before being taken to Yellow Gate Police Station.

Despite the ordeal, lighthearted moments emerged when Zayn filmed Imran inside the police van referencing his iconic debut film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, joking about fulfilling the character's condition of going to jail. All three actors were released Saturday night, though Lekha Washington later reported harassment when attempting to secure transport home. Mumbai Police has not officially commented on the injury claims.
