King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where 24 Bangladeshi transit passengers were injured following a missile strike on Terminal-3.

The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has confirmed that 24 Bangladeshi nationals—including 11 migrant workers and 13 Umrah pilgrims—were injured in the missile strike at King Khalid International Airport, which also claimed the lives of two Bangladeshi citizens.

According to a late-night diplomatic update from the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh issued on Sunday (October 11, 2026), the missile attack struck Terminal-3 at 3:15 AM on October 10 while passengers were awaiting connecting domestic transit flights from Riyadh to Jeddah. Initial figures provided by Saudi authorities indicate that 12 people lost their lives and 309 others sustained injuries across multiple nationalities.

Among the 24 injured Bangladeshis, three are currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at King Abdullah Hospital: Hafez Hasan (from Dhaka), Kazi Nurullah (from Brahmanbaria), and Md. Omar Faruk (expatriate worker in Saudi Arabia). Embassy officials confirmed that all three ICU patients are in stable condition. The remaining injured citizens are receiving medical care at National Guard Hospital, Riyadh Medical Hospital, and Prince Sultan Military Hospital, with diplomatic officials closely monitoring their medical recovery.
