Madonna to release ‘Confessions II – the film’ on YouTube
Madonna has announced that “Confessions II – The Film” will premiere on YouTube today at 11 am ET ( Bangladesh time 9 pm).
Directed by David Toro and Solomon Chase, the film held its world premiere on Friday (June 5) evening at New York City’s Beacon Theatre as part of the Tribeca Film Festival.
According to the official poster, the project features a lineup of guest appearances including Arca, Archie Madekwe, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cole Palmer, Debi Mazar, Gwendoline Christie, Honey Dijon, João Pedro, Julia Garner, Kate Moss, Odessa A’zion, Richard E Grant, Shygirl, and Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon.
The festival website describes “Confessions II” as an ambitious visual work running for more than 10 minutes, built around the first six tracks of Madonna’s upcoming album, including “I Feel So Free” and “Bring Your Love” featuring Sabrina Carpenter. Presented as a single continuous sequence, the film blends interconnected, music-driven segments into an immersive cinematic experience. It is said to bring a physical dimension to the music while exploring themes of control and surrender, as well as visibility and anonymity within a crowd.
Madonna is currently in the midst of a busy promotional campaign for “Confessions II”, which is scheduled for release on July 3 via Warner Records.
In April, she unveiled the era’s lead single, “I Feel So Free”, ahead of a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella headlining set on Weekend Two. During the performance, they also debuted their duet “Bring Your Love”, which was later released on streaming platforms.
