Drug Dealer Arrested with 45 Yaba Tablets and Cash in Kalapara
Kalapara Thana Police have arrested Md. Mizanur Rahman (35) along with 45 pieces of Yaba tablets and 4,885 BDT in cash earned from drug sales in Kalapara, Patuakhali. He was apprehended around 8:30 PM on Monday (September 7) from his rented room on Sugandha Road in Nachnapara under Ward No. 1 of Kalapara Municipality. The arrested individual, Md. Mizanur Rahman, is the son of Md. Anisur Rahman and Shahinur Begum of Salimpur village under Nilganj Union, and had been residing in a rented house in Nachnapara. A case has been registered against him at Kalapara Police Station under Section 36(1) Table 10(Ka)/41 of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.
According to police sources, the plaintiff of the case, SI (Armed) Md. Shahidul Islam Khan (BP-7292087223), assisted by an accompanying force, recovered the 45 pieces of illicit Yaba tablets from the possession of Md. Mizanur Rahman before taking him into custody.
Kalapara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nazrul Islam affirmed that routine drives against narcotics will remain ongoing.
