Cristiano Ronaldo Faces Potential Six-Month Ban Following Sudden Departure from Portugal Camp
Cristiano Ronaldo faces possible disciplinary sanctions under Portuguese Football Federation regulations following his departure from the national team camp.

Cristiano Ronaldo faces the risk of a maximum six-month suspension from official football activities following his decision to prematurely abandon the Portugal national team training camp ahead of their UEFA Nations League fixture against Denmark.

According to sports network ESPN, the disciplinary code of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) strictly governs national squad attendance and participation. Under FPF regulations, any player who withdraws from, or fails to attend, official training sessions, matches, or national team duties without valid justification after being summoned faces a suspension ranging from one to six months, alongside a financial penalty between €500 and €1,000 for professional players. The potential disciplinary action stems from Ronaldo leaving mid-camp after learning he would not feature in head coach Jorge Jesus's starting XI against Denmark, with Jesus favoring forward Gonçalo Ramos. While Jesus maintained that player selection remains strictly the manager's prerogative, Ronaldo released a statement confirming his exit following consultations with the head coach and FPF President Pedro Proença, promising to disclose the complete circumstances to the Portuguese public at an appropriate time.
