England Thrash Croatia 7-0 in Dominant UEFA Nations League Clash Behind Closed Doors
England players celebrate during their record 7-0 victory against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League at Rijeka.

England produced one of their most dominant international performances in recent history, dismantling Croatia 7-0 in a UEFA Nations League Group A3 fixture played behind closed doors in Rijeka on Saturday.

Playing in front of empty stands—punctuated only by 6,000 schoolchildren admitted following UEFA sanctions against Croatian fans for racist behavior—Thomas Tuchel’s side systematically overwhelmed the hosts. Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 8th minute with his 88th international goal following a precise delivery from Jude Bellingham. Bellingham then doubled the lead in the 21st minute off an Anthony Gordon pass setup by Bukayo Saka, before Gordon added a third in the 39th minute from a Jarell Quansah cross. Saka made it 4-0 before halftime off another Bellingham assist. In the second half, Kane netted his second via an Elliot Anderson cross in the 52nd minute, and Saka secured his brace in the 68th minute off a misplaced pass by Josip Stanišić. Substitute Morgan Rogers completed the seven-goal rout in the 87th minute, lifting England to second place in Group A3 as they prepare for Wednesday's encounter against the Czech Republic.
