Nineteen-year-old Bangladesh national team forward Farhan Ali Vahid has been named Fulham’s Academy Player of the Year for 2026, receiving the prestigious Johnny Haynes Trophy at the English Premier League club.
Announced by Fulham FC on Thursday night (October 8, 2026), the award is voted on annually by players and coaching staff to recognize the standout talent emerging from the club’s youth system. Farhan enjoyed a stellar professional debut season, registering 17 goal contributions across 21 appearances in Premier League 2 (Under-21) to lead Fulham to a fourth-place finish and earning the PL2 Player of the Month award in November. Born in England to Sylheti-descended parents, Farhan progressed through Chelsea’s academy before joining Fulham in 2019. He committed his international career to Bangladesh in May and made a memorable debut last month at the FIFA ASEAN Cup, scoring his first international goal against Indonesia in front of 50,000 spectators. Expressing his gratitude on the club’s official website, Farhan credited his teammates for pushing his development while reflecting with pride on representing Bangladesh on the international stage. He is currently on loan at fifth-tier side Boreham Wood, where he has already made four appearances.
