Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has sparked widespread media attention after sharing a social media video of himself riding a bicycle through a rural trail, directly disregarding recent public advice from club manager José Mourinho.

Mbappé posted the short video clip on his Instagram story on Sunday, showing the smiling French star wearing a helmet while cycling along a country path. The post comes shortly after Mourinho emphasized during an interview on the Bet It Drives show that professional footballers must avoid risky off-pitch activities, specifically calling out cycling and skiing due to potential fall and injury risks. Mourinho argued that a single accident while cycling could cause limb fractures or sideline a player for multiple matches. The video release is particularly notable as Mbappé is currently recovering from a left knee injury sustained on September 25 while on international duty for France against Turkey. While Mbappé remains a serious doubt for Real Madrid's upcoming La Liga fixture against Villarreal on Saturday, medical staff expect the forward to be fully fit in time for the El Clásico showdown against Barcelona on October 25.
