Following a downward trend in the international bullion market and a reduction in the local pure gold (Tejabi Gold) price, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has cut gold prices by BDT 3,324 per bhori (11.664 grams) across the country.

According to a press statement issued by BAJUS, the adjusted pricing took effect on Sunday (October 25) at 10:00 AM and remains fully effective today, Tuesday (October 27, 2026). Under the updated tariff structure (inclusive of VAT), 22-karat gold is priced at BDT 2,20,858 per bhori. Meanwhile, 21-karat gold stands at BDT 2,10,943 per bhori, 18-karat gold at BDT 1,81,200 per bhori, and traditional method gold at BDT 1,48,016 per bhori.

BAJUS statistics indicate that gold prices in Bangladesh have been adjusted 126 times so far in 2026—comprising 60 price hikes, 65 price cuts, and one VAT realignment. In comparison, gold prices were revised 93 times in 2025. Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged in the domestic market, with 22-karat silver selling at BDT 3,849 per bhori.
