Two tourists from Dhaka's Khilgaon area went missing while bathing in the Padma River near the 4th pillar of the Padma Bridge during an office tour.

After a 25-hour search operation conducted by the river police, fire service, and coast guard, the body of 22-year-old Maruf was recovered around 3:30 PM on Tuesday, October 27. The search for the other missing tourist, 40-year-old Russell, is still ongoing.

The group of eight had arrived in Mawa to enjoy the scenic beauty of the area before the tragic incident occurred due to strong currents and deep waters.
