Police have recovered 17 stolen laptops from an abandoned state near the Idilpur Kali Mandir bushes in Pabna's Chatmohar upazila on Monday morning (October 5, 2026).
Acting on a tip-off from locals who noticed suspicious bags, Chatmohar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Oliur Rahman led a team to retrieve the bags containing the devices.
Authorities are currently verifying the serial numbers to officially confirm if these are the exact laptops stolen during a burglary on the night of September 13, when thieves cut the window grill of the computer lab at Sharatganj Tofiz Uddin Ahmed High School. Once verified, the laptops will be handed over to the school authorities through the court.
