Police have arrested six members of an interfaith motorcycle theft syndicate and recovered eight stolen motorcycles in Rangpur. Tajhat Police Station OC Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter on Wednesday afternoon (October 21).

Following a complaint filed by Golam Rabbani regarding a motorcycle stolen from in front of Abdul Wahab's house in Alhaj Nagar Darsana on October 5, police conducted raids across Rangpur city, Pirganj, Mithapukur, and Dinajpur, initially arresting five suspects and recovering five motorcycles including the plaintiff's vehicle.

Subsequently, during a three-day remand interrogation, information provided by the suspects led to the arrest of another suspect named Russel Mia from the Shanerhat Bazar area of Pirganj upazila on the night of October 20, along with the recovery of three unregistered Pulsar motorcycles. Preparations are underway to send Russel Mia to court as the investigation continues.
