During a special anti-narcotics drive in Manda, Naogaon, police recovered 60 liters of country liquor manufacturing ingredients (wash) and 2,000 taka acquired from drug sales.
A woman named Poli Rani (26) has been arrested in connection with the incident. Arrested Poli Rani is the wife of Jiten Rishi of Sreerampur Rishi Para village under the upazila.
According to police sources, an anti-narcotics special drive was led by Sub-Inspector (Unarmed) Ashish Kumar Sanyal of Manda Police Station, accompanied by ASI Mohosin Ali, female constable Keya Khatun, and constable Md. Hasan Ali.
During the search at Poli Rani's dwelling house, 60 liters of country liquor brewing ingredients (wash) hidden cunningly beside the indoor wall along with 2,000 taka from drug sales were recovered.
Police stated that legal procedures are underway to file charges against the arrested woman.
