Police have arrested eight active members of an inter-district robber gang in connection with a robbery incident in Nawabganj, Dinajpur.
The arrests and subsequent identification were made following special operations conducted across various locations in the Rangpur division. Based on information provided by the arrestees, police also successfully recovered the stolen and looted valuables. Among those arrested is a former chairman.
The suspects have been identified as Shakil Sarkar (26) and Ruhul Amin (35) from Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha; Rashed Mia alias Rashedul (30), Robiul Prodhan alias Rubel (35), Saju Mia (53), and Ariful Islam alias Chairman (42) from Pirganj upazila of Rangpur; Shahin Mia (30) from Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha; and Miraj Mia (26) from Pirganj upazila of Rangpur.
