Ambassadors from four countries have expressed special interest in the cottage industry products manufactured at the Academy of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP), located in Shafipur under Kaliakair upazila, Gazipur.

On Monday (October 26) around 11:30 AM, the Ambassadors of Kosovo, Maldives, Morocco, and Singapore visited the academy to tour these products.

Warm Reception and Academy Tour: Upon arriving at the academy, the ambassadors were warmly received by Major General Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP. Following the reception, the distinguished guests toured various departments of the academy, which include:

* Handicrafts and Cottage Industry Department * Garments Department * Marginal Energy and Welding Department

During the tour, the ambassadors highly praised the superior quality of the products manufactured at the academy and their overall operations. They also expressed deep interest in taking these cottage industry products back to their respective countries.

Discussion Meeting and Interest in Bilateral Agreements After the tour, a discussion meeting and various programs were held under the chairmanship of the Director General.

At the meeting, Director General Major General Sazzad Mahmud stated that the cottage industry operations at this academy were originally initiated under the inspiration of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. After a long hiatus, the demand and interest in these products are once again growing extensively.
