The annual Waj Mahfil organized by the Baluakandi Eidgah, Graveyard, and Madrasa Committee was held in Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj on Monday (October 5, 2026). Committee President Justice A. F. M. Abdur Rahman presided over the event, while Munshiganj-3 Member of Parliament Kamruzzaman Ratan attended as the chief guest.
Emphasizing the importance of Islamic values, equity, and moral education in building a harmonious society, the speakers discussed core religious teachings from the Quran and Hadith, drawing a large gathering of local scholars, dignitaries, teachers, students, and residents before concluding with a special munajat for the peace and prosperity of the nation and the Muslim Ummah.
