Two coaches—designated as 'Na' and 'Ta'—unexpectedly detached from the moving Dhaka-bound intercity Teesta Express train between the Kawraid and Moshakhali railway stations in South Gafargaon, Mymensingh, suspending train communications on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route for about half an hour on Tuesday morning (October 6, 2026).
Mymensingh Railway Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aktar Hossain confirmed that the incident occurred around 10:15 AM when the coupling hook broke, prompting the driver to halt the train immediately.
Railway staff successfully repaired the coupling within thirty minutes, allowing the train to resume its journey toward Dewanganj at approximately 10:45 AM and restoring normal services along the route.
