On Monday morning (October 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM), a passenger named Milon Bala from Hasail village under Tongibari upazila accidentally left his bag containing money in an auto-rickshaw while getting off at his scheduled destination, Sipahipara.

Shortly after dropping off the passenger, auto-rickshaw driver Md. Sharif Islam noticed the bag lying in his vehicle.

Failing to locate Milon Bala—who had traveled from Dighirpar to the auto-rickshaw—despite an extensive local search, Sharif became intensely determined. The desire to return the bag of money to its true owner turned into a firm resolution for Sharif, a resident of Mohishbandha village in Sadullapur police station, Gaibandha district. Determined to return the bag at all costs, he continued searching until the designated time for submitting his auto-rickshaw's daily rental fee had passed.

Choosing not to earn the vehicle's daily rent at the owner's expense and placing his faith in his own integrity, Sharif eventually informed ATSAI Habibur Rahman, who was on duty at the Muktarpur traffic point, about finding the bag. Honoring Sharif's honesty, the on-duty police officer promptly notified higher authorities. Upon learning of the incident, and with the overall assistance of the district police, the rightful owner of the bag, Milon Bala, was successfully identified. Following verification, Superintendent of Police for Munshiganj, Md. Menhajul Alam PPM, formally handed over the bag along with the money to Milon Bala.

Upon receiving his lost bag intact, complete with necessary belongings and money, Milon Bala expressed his heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to auto-rickshaw driver Sharif and the Munshiganj Traffic Police.
