Ten days after a fire broke out at Tup-Tup Resort in Inani, Ukhiya, the body of missing school teacher Nasrin Akhter Mukta (27) has been recovered. On Tuesday (October 27), led and supervised by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Panna Aktar with assistance from police and fire service, the search operation successfully retrieved the body from beneath a pile of tin sheets beside a burnt room of the resort.
Her husband, Dewan Faisal, identified the body as Mukta. With this recovery, the death toll from the fire incident has risen to 11.
Following the fire, the identities of 10 recovered bodies were verified through DNA testing by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police.
