Panchagarh Correspondent: Following days of dense fog and heavy cloud cover, Mount Kanchenjunga—the world's third-highest peak—became visibly clear from Tetulia in Panchagarh. The snow-capped mountain provided a breathtaking view to the naked eye shortly after sunrise on Sunday and Monday, drawing thousands of tourists to the northern border town.
While the peak was briefly visible earlier in October, overcast skies over the past week had disappointed visiting tourists from across the country. Clearer weather over the weekend offered striking views from the Tetulia Dak Bungalow, Banglabandha Zero Point, and Shalbahan areas. Local hotel and resort owners reported a surge in full bookings following viral social media posts of the mountain. Tetulia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Anwar Hossain assured that local administration and law enforcement have tightened security to ensure safe conditions for all visitors.
