The depression positioned over the east-central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal has moved further south-eastwards and remains over the same area. At 6:00 AM today, Sunday, it was centered 760 kilometers south of Payra seaport, 785 kilometers south of Chattogram seaport, 700 kilometers south of Cox's Bazar seaport, and 820 kilometers south of Mongla seaport.
Under the influence of the depression, the Bay of Bengal near Kuakata in Patuakhali is slightly rough, and the coastal skies remain partly cloudy, though no major impact has been observed thus far.
According to meteorological forecasts, the depression may intensify further into a deep depression and subsequently transform into a cyclone. In view of this situation, Payra, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, and Mongla seaports have been advised to hoist distant cautionary signal number 1. Additionally, fishing trawlers have been instructed to operate cautiously while remaining close to the coast.
