Pirojpur Correspondent: A dispute has emerged within the Nazirpur Upazila Primary Teachers' Association centered around a no-confidence motion sent against President A. K. M. Faisal Alam. Allegations have surfaced regarding forged signatures, obtaining signatures through misleading information, and applying coercion. Several teacher leaders and members have demanded an impartial investigation into these allegations. According to written statements provided by the concerned parties, the no-confidence motion was sent to the central executive committee on October 11.
Subsequently, several teacher leaders and members of the association claimed that some of their signatures were forged, while others had their signatures taken under the guise of association meetings or through deceptive information. Assistant Women's Affairs Secretary Shipi Karmakar and several others submitted written objections to the central committee regarding this matter. Meanwhile, alongside the no-confidence motion, controversies have also arisen regarding the formation of a new committee. Central Committee General Secretary Md. Mostafizur Rahman Shaheen stated that although he heard about the formation of a new committee, he did not sign it, noting that the committee formation process and the qualifications of those involved require verification.
President A. K. M. Faisal Alam dismissed the allegations against him as false and baseless, demanding that the true facts be unearthed through a neutral investigation and decisions be made in accordance with rules. The incident has raised questions regarding the process of collecting signatures for the no-confidence motion and the legality of the new committee's formation. The parties involved are awaiting an impartial investigation into the allegations and a final decision from the central committee.
