On the occasion of Sri Sri Sharadiya Durga Puja 2026, consumer goods and gifts allocated by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, along with personal gifts from Alhaj Jasim Uddin Ahmed, Member of Parliament for Chittagong-14 (Chandanaish-Satkania partial), were distributed in Chandanaish, Chittagong.
The distribution ceremony was held on Friday (October 16) afternoon at the Chandanaish Upazila Auditorium.
Honorable Member of Parliament for Chittagong-14 (Chandanaish-Satkania partial) and member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operatives and the Ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism, Alhaj Jasim Uddin Ahmed, was present as the chief guest.
Chaired by Chandanaish Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Abdur Rahman, the event was attended by special guests including Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jhantu Bikash Chakma, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandanaish Police Station S.M. Didarul Islam Sikder, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Mahbub Alam Shawn Bhuiyan, BNP leaders M. A. Hashem Raju and Sirajul Islam Sawdagar, and Puja Udjapan Parishad leaders Utpal Rakshit and Alok Kumar Dey, among others.
Officials from various upazila departments, leaders of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad Chandanaish Upazila branch, presidents and secretaries of local puja mandaps, and prominent members of the Hindu community were also present at the event.
