Data collection for the implementation of the Family Card program has officially commenced in Osmani Nagar, Sylhet, on Monday (October 12, 2026). In the initial phase, the operations are being conducted in Ward No. 1 across West Pailanpur, Burungabazar, and Sadipur unions of the upazila. A total of 73 personnel, including 66 enumerators and 7 supervisors, have been deployed to carry out the data collection.
According to the Upazila Social Services Office, comprehensive preparations were made to ensure an accurate and orderly process, including a two-day training session held on October 10 and 11. To facilitate a smooth and swift procedure, the office has urged families in the designated wards to keep necessary documents ready—specifically the National Identity Cards (NID) of female heads of households and other family members, as well as photocopies of birth certificates for members under the age of 18. Officials expressed optimism that having these documents ready will render the data collection process faster and more accurate.
