Member of Parliament for Pabna-4 (Atghoria-Ishwardi) constituency Md. Abu Taleb Mondal has laid the foundation stone for a four-story-foundation single-story academic building at Taha Islamia Fazil (Degree) Madrasa located in Shibpur under Atghoria upazila, Pabna. A doa and views-exchange meeting was held at the madrasa auditorium to mark his arrival.
On Tuesday (October 27, 2026), attending as the chief guest on the madrasa premises, he officially inaugurated the foundation stone of the academic building. The building has been constructed under the implementation of the Education Engineering Department (EED), Pabna.
The doa and views-exchange meeting organized for the foundation stone laying discussed the overall development of the madrasa, enhancement of educational quality, ensuring a suitable learning environment for students, and infrastructural development of the institution.
Member of Parliament Abu Taleb Mondal stated, "Education is the primary instrument of national advancement. Everyone must work sincerely to improve educational quality, beautiful environments, and infrastructural development."
He added that the construction of the new academic building at Taha Islamia Fazil Madrasa will impart greater dynamism to teaching and alleviate classroom shortages. Relevant authorities must play responsible roles in ensuring a modern and standard environment for students.
"I hope that through the combined efforts of teachers, guardians, governing body, and local people, this madrasa will build ideal human beings enriched with morality, honesty, humanity, and patriotism. My cooperation in educational development and regional progress will continue, Inshallah," he said.
Special guests present at the event included Atghoria Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Tahmidul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Muntasir Mahfuz, and former Atghoria upazila chairman and district Jamaat Naib-e-Ameer Maulana Md. Zahurul Islam Khan.
The meeting was presided over by Taha Islamia Fazil Madrasa Principal Md. Golam Yasin. District Shramik Kalyan Foundation Vice-President Hafez Maulana Amirul Islam, Atghoria Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Nakibullah, along with madrasa governing body members, teachers, staff, students, and local dignitaries were present.
The meeting featured discussions on raising educational standards, increasing student success, and overall institutional progress. Attendees expressed hope that the new academic building will help resolve classroom shortages and create opportunities to conduct teaching activities more orderly, thereby upgrading the madrasa's educational environment.
Concluding the event, special prayers were offered for the overall development of the madrasa, student success, welfare of teachers and staff, and the welfare of the country and nation.
