Police have raided an illegal country liquor manufacturing factory located inside a multi-story building in Savar, Dhaka.
During the operation on the fourth floor of Green Tower in the Hemayetpur Purbohati area of Tetuljhora Union late Monday night, authorities seized 15 liters of country liquor, equipment used for brewing, and arrested two individuals, including a Chinese national.
The arrest was confirmed on Tuesday (October 13) morning by Md. Mohid, In-Charge of the Savar Model Police Station Tannery Outpost. The arrested individuals are Chinese national Li Dampen (53) and a Bangladeshi woman named Champa Begum (35). Police reported that based on a tip-off, the raid was conducted at midnight, and legal procedures are currently underway to send the accused to court.
