Embracing the belief of experiencing the supreme truth within womanhood, Kumari Puja was celebrated with profound religious solemnity and festive spirit at the Pabna Ramakrishna Sevasram on Monday morning (October 19, 2026) during the sacred Maha Ashtami tithi of Sharadiya Durgatsab. Marking the third time the Sevasram has hosted the ritual, six-year-old Diya Talukder was seated on the Kumari Devi pedestal under the scriptural name 'Uma'.

Following traditional scriptures, the young girl was bathed, adorned in a new red sari, jewelry, alta, flower garlands, and seated with a lotus in hand for worship accompanied by hymns and stotra recitations. The event drew massive crowds of enthusiastic devotees and visitors. The proceedings were witnessed and supported by Sevasram committee leaders including joint conveners Malay Chakraborty and Achinta Kumar Ghosh, along with members Alok Pal, Nayan Kumar Saha, Ratan Sen, Pritish Kumar Kundu, and Arup Kumar Saha.
