Syed Nazmul Alam Parvez, an individual convicted in multiple cases in Faridpur, has now been accused of cheque dishonor after issuing a cheque to settle a dues claim of 700,000 taka which bounced due to insufficient funds in his bank account.
Information reveals that a legal notice advertisement has already been published in a newspaper through a lawyer of the Faridpur Judges' Court to recover the owed money. According to the legal notice, Advocate Md. Habibur Rahman (Habib Sheikh), a learned counsel representing Sheikh Fayez Ahmed of Faridpur Sadar, sent the notice. The recipient of the notice is Syed Nazmul Alam Parvez, son of the late Nazrul Alam, residing at Raghunandanpur, Kotwali, Faridpur.
The notice stated that Syed Nazmul Alam Parvez issued a cheque from the Goalchamat branch of Janata Bank Limited on August 11, 2026, to pay the 700,000 taka owed to the notice sender. When the cheque was deposited for encashment at The Premier Bank, Faridpur Branch, it was returned and dishonored on September 20, 2026, noting that the "account has been closed." The legal notice demanded the payment of the 700,000 taka within 30 days of publication, failing which legal action will be initiated.
Notably, Syed Nazmul Alam Parvez had long been absconding after embezzling vast sums of money through loans and debts from various individuals and businesses across his multiple ventures. Having been convicted by a learned court in Faridpur, law enforcement arrested him on an arrest warrant; after securing bail from jail, he was reportedly back to engaging in fraudulent activities.
