The case statement reveals that the arrested Pasha Molla is a resident of the same village and a neighbor of the 25-year-old victim's in-laws. Pasha Molla had an ongoing dispute over local matters with the victim's husband, Md. Ahad Chowkider, against whom he had previously filed a case involving four individuals in the Amtali Senior Judicial Magistrate Court.

While that case was still pending, the victim went to a paddy field about half a kilometer south of her home on the morning of the incident to collect grass for their cattle. Pasha Molla was cutting grass in his own field at the time. Seeing her alone, he began hurling abusive language at her. When she protested, he struck her on the head with the handle of a hoe, causing injuries to her scalp and forehead. The complaint further alleges that he then grabbed her and sexually harassed her by touching her inappropriately. As the housewife screamed for help, local residents rushed to the spot, causing the accused to flee.

Amtali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Yakub Hossain said that a case was registered against Pasha Molla based on the complaint filed by the victim's father, leading to his arrest.
