An unidentified mentally challenged man who was lying bleeding and seriously injured following a road accident on the College Gate to Barkal road in front of the residence of Bandarban Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Shaheen Hossain Chowdhury in Chandanaish, Chattogram, was rescued by a local youth named Abir on Friday night and admitted to the Chandanaish Upazila Health Complex.

The victim, currently undergoing treatment in the male ward of the hospital, sustained severe leg injuries and heavy blood loss. Chandanaish Upazila Health Complex Management Committee Vice-President Mohammad Azam Khan coordinated the response and announced that, under the directives of Member of Parliament for Chattogram-14 (Chandanaish-Satkania partial) Alhaj Jasim Uddin Ahmed, all medical expenses and overall care for the injured individual have been fully assumed with no compromise on medical attention, while commending youth Abir for his humanitarian act.

As the victim is unable to state his name or details due to his mental condition, authorities have urged anyone who recognizes him to contact the Chandanaish Upazila Health Complex to help trace his family.
