National Revolution and Solidarity Day was observed with due dignity in Ishwardi, Pabna, on Saturday (November 7). The day commenced in the morning with the hoisting of the national flag accompanied by the national anthem, followed by the hoisting of the party flag with party anthems. In the afternoon, a colorful procession was brought out from the Khayruzzaman Babu Bus Terminal.

The grand rally paraded through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated in a street rally at the Old Bus Stand. Presided over by upazila grassroots BNP Convener Jahangir Alam, the event featured former Pabna District BNP Joint Secretary Zakaria Pintu as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, the chief guest stated, "On this day in 1975, when the entire nation faced uncertainty, the combined uprising of soldiers and the masses neutralized all conspiracies against national independence and sovereignty, creating an unparalleled example of patriotism. The soldiers and public freed martyred President Ziaur Rahman from captivity and brought him to state power. He overcame that critical juncture and introduced multi-party democracy in the country, initiating a new politics of development and production."

Pintu further remarked, "The historic November 7 is an uniquely significant fraternity-laden day in our national life. Through the sepoy-mass uprising, hegemony, dictatorship, one-party rule, and the prevailing anarchy in public life came to an end, guiding the country from an unstable environment back into an orderly state. The BNP is currently passing through a critical time. Anti-independence forces and neo-Razakars are desperate to corner the government. To thwart them, all members of the BNP must unite and work together."

Among others present were Ishwardi Upazila Grassroots BNP Member Secretary Md. Shahabuddin Sentu Sardar, Joint Conveners Akkas Ali Khan and Tutul Sardar, Municipal BNP Convener Islam Hossain Jewel, Joint Conveners Aktar Hossain Nifa, Khandaker Toufiq Alam Sohel, and Member Secretary Anwar Hossain Joni, Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ashikur Rahman Nannu, BNP leaders Anwarul Biswas and Alamgir Hossain Alam, Ishwardi Upazila Jubo Dal Joint Secretary Hirok Sardar, Municipal Jubo Dal Joint Conveners Rezaul Islam Mukul, Rasheduled Islam Ripon, Bablu Akter, and Mahbubul Alam, alongside Municipal Jubo Dal Member Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Phul Jewel.
